Deputy Chief Accountant

About the role

As Deputy Chief Accountant you will support the Chief Accountant in managing the finance function of Bosch's automotive electronics plant in Hatvan. You will ensure accurate month‑end and year‑end closings, compliance with Hungarian GAAP and IFRS, and provide professional guidance on complex accounting matters.

Key responsibilities

• Execute month‑end (MEC) and year‑end (YEC) closing activities.
• Review GR/IR invoices, assist with manual invoice posting and error identification.
• Calculate unrealised foreign‑exchange gains and losses as required.
• Prepare and review manual journal entries, accruals, and IFRS 16 adjustments.
• Update accounting policies and ensure adherence to them.
• Support internal and external audits and contribute to the preparation of financial statements and supplementary notes.
• Participate in the preparation and review of IFRS financial statements and schedules.
• Provide specialist support on fixed‑asset accounting issues and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Several years of experience in accounting, auditing or finance, preferably in a multinational manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Hungarian Local GAAP, tax regulations and statutory reporting requirements.
• Good understanding of IFRS and its interaction with local reporting standards.
• Experience with month‑end/year‑end closing, financial‑statement preparation and external audits.
• Fluent Hungarian and professional English proficiency.
• Ability to ensure compliance, support accounting operations and act as deputy to the Chief Accountant when needed.
