Healthcare Compliance Manager – Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia

About the role

The Manager, HCC Hungary supports healthcare compliance activities across Hungary, Croatia and Slovenia for DePuy Synthes’ Orthopedics business. The role ensures ethical business conduct, adherence to healthcare laws and regulations, and helps embed a culture of integrity while enabling sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Healthcare Compliance Officer for Hungary, Croatia and Slovenia.
• Lead the development and execution of compliance strategies aligned with global and EMEA priorities.
• Identify, assess and manage compliance risks related to commercial, promotional and professional education activities.
• Provide proactive guidance to business leaders on compliance requirements and ethical decision‑making.
• Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to embed effective compliance controls into business processes.
• Oversee compliance programs including training, monitoring, risk assessments and issue management.
• Support investigations, audits and regulatory interactions together with Legal and other functions.
• Monitor regulatory developments and prepare risk assessments for senior leadership.

Required profile

• 5–7 years progressive experience in healthcare compliance, legal, risk management or audit.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Compliance, Finance, Healthcare Administration or a related field; advanced degree or certification preferred.
• Working knowledge of healthcare compliance laws and regulations in Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia and the broader EMEA region.
• Strong analytical and judgment skills with the ability to identify and escalate risks appropriately.
• Effective written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate across functions and cultures.
• Fluency in English; Hungarian or other regional language skills preferred.
