HR Generalist – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

HARMAN Automotive is looking for an HR Generalist to support its manufacturing operations in Pécs, Hungary. As an individual contributor within the HR organization, you will partner with managers, employees, payroll, training teams, recruitment partners and staffing agencies to deliver efficient and compliant HR services across the employee lifecycle. The role combines operational HR work with employee support, recruitment, process improvement and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end recruitment: job postings, candidate screening, hiring coordination and employment administration
• Monitor workforce planning needs and coordinate hiring to maintain required staffing levels
• Work with temporary staffing agencies and recruitment providers, keeping related documentation up to date
• Prepare, coordinate approvals for and issue employment offers in line with company policy
• Support onboarding, organize orientation and welcome new employees
• Prepare employment contracts, job descriptions, contract amendments and employee lifecycle records
• Coordinate transfers, organizational changes, exits, disciplinary documentation and exit interviews with managers
• Collaborate with payroll so employee data is submitted accurately and on time
• Prepare HR reports, support internal and external audits, take part in HR projects and comply with company policies and IATF 16949 requirements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a related HR Operations position
• Strong knowledge of recruitment, onboarding, employee administration and the employee lifecycle
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, strong organization and ability to handle multiple priorities
• Professional English proficiency; openness to learning new processes and systems
• Baseline familiarity with using AI to support efficiency and quality

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and HR systems
• Bonus points: automotive manufacturing experience, audit support, IATF 16949 familiarity, staffing agency relations, HR process improvement
