HR Generalist – Maternity Cover (Fixed-Term)

About the role

HARMAN Lifestyle is looking for an HR Generalist to join its People team in Pécs, Hungary, covering the HARMAN Lifestyle Hungary locations in Pécs, Budapest and Székesfehérvár. The role acts as an HR partner for employees and managers, supporting the full employee lifecycle, recruitment, employee relations and HR projects. This is a maternity cover position with a 2-year fixed-term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Support employees and managers across the three locations with operational HR tasks.
• Manage the employee lifecycle: onboarding, data changes, transfers and offboarding.
• Handle employee relations matters, including disciplinary processes and case management in line with company policy and labour legislation.
• Lead recruitment and selection for blue-collar positions, including assessment centres and related administration.
• Work with recruitment agencies, staffing partners and external service providers.
• Run employer branding, recruitment campaigns, career fairs and employee engagement events.
• Prepare HR reports and support workforce data analysis.
• Maintain HR data in Workday, ServiceNow and other HR systems.
• Take part in local and global HR projects and coordinate internal HR communications.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proactive and solution-oriented.
• Ability to manage several priorities with attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of English and fluent Hungarian.
• Experience of at least 2 years in a generalist HR role is a bonus.
• Knowledge of Hungarian labour law, international HR practices and experience with multiple locations is a bonus.
