Medior Data Pipeline Engineer

About the role

Hiflylabs, a Budapest-based company with 250+ employees, offers a full-time Medior Data Pipeline Engineer position. The company delivers data warehouses, business intelligence and data analytics solutions and has grown its application development competence alongside its BI projects. The role is hybrid: 3 days on site and 2 days from home each week, with adjusted hours once every two weeks to align with the New York time zone.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and migrate ETL pipelines between different source systems
• Validate pipeline builds and output data quality
• Analyse and resolve blockers and issues with ETL pipelines and data discrepancies
• Communicate with business stakeholders and subject matter experts about their data domains
• Work with colleagues to keep best practices up to date
• Support data migration across systems and platforms
• Provide operational support within the Snowflake environment
• Document and track work handed over

Required profile

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in data, ETL, data migration or a similar role
• 2-3 years of hands-on SQL knowledge
• At least 1-2 years of Python experience
• Proven experience with Pandas and/or PySpark
• Good written and spoken English and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Nice to have: multinational company experience
