Deputy Chief Accountant

About the role

Bosch Group is looking for a Deputy Chief Accountant to support the Chief Accountant at its Hatvan plant, the world’s largest production centre for automotive electronics. The role will ensure accurate month‑end and year‑end closing, statutory reporting and compliance with Hungarian GAAP and IFRS.

Key responsibilities

• Execute month‑end (MEC) and year‑end (YEC) closing activities, including manual entries and accruals.
• Review GR/IR invoices, assist with manual invoice posting and identify posting errors.
• Calculate unrealised foreign‑exchange gains and losses as required.
• Prepare and review IFRS financial statement schedules and supplementary notes.
• Support internal and external audits and contribute to the preparation of statutory financial statements.
• Maintain accounting policies, update documentation and ensure compliance with Hungarian tax regulations.
• Provide professional support on fixed‑asset accounting issues and prepare segmentation documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Several years of experience in accounting, auditing or finance, preferably in a multinational manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Hungarian Local GAAP, tax regulations and statutory reporting requirements.
• Good understanding of IFRS and its interaction with local reporting standards.
• Fluent Hungarian and professional English proficiency.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP or a comparable ERP system.
• Advanced Excel skills.
