About the role

Join the Wise Assistant team to lead the development of a conversational AI platform that will become the central interface for managing money on Wise. This is a high‑visibility, production‑grade AI role focused on large‑scale LLM systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a small, senior engineering team building production LLM systems.
• Shape the technical vision for AI at Wise, including architecture, evaluation, and integration of the latest research.
• Partner closely with embedded Data Science, Product Management, Analyst and Prompt Engineering functions.
• Stay hands‑on with system design and architecture, ensuring production‑grade quality at scale.
• Act as a thought leader on AI engineering within the company.

Required profile

• Senior engineering leader with proven experience delivering production AI at scale.
• Strong background in large language model systems and AI research integration.
• Ability to guide research prototypes to production‑ready solutions.
• Collaborative mindset working with cross‑functional teams.
