Senior Fullstack Engineer – Customer Risk Assessment

About the role

Wise is building a centralized platform to assess customer financial‑crime risk. As a Senior Fullstack Engineer you will design, develop and operate the core services that give teams worldwide a 360‑degree view of customer risk.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy resilient backend microservices in Java (Spring Boot) and intuitive front‑ends using React and TypeScript.
• Build tools that aggregate risk data across multiple fincrime topologies, providing full visibility into customer risk profiles.
• Own common risk‑mitigation components and create scalable, standardized workflows for Servicing Agents.
• Break down bottlenecks in compliance processes and deliver adaptable platform solutions for other Wise product teams.

Required profile

• Strong engineering background with several years of production‑grade Java and Spring Boot experience.
• Proven ability to build performant, responsive web applications with React and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience designing distributed, concurrent systems and understanding trade‑offs between stateful/stateless and sync/async architectures.
• Excellent communication skills and a product‑mindset to translate complex problems into incremental, customer‑focused solutions.
