Applications Engineering Intern – Wireless IoT

About the role

Silicon Labs is seeking a motivated intern to join its Hungary team working on RF chip design and related software, hardware, and tools. You will gain hands‑on experience with embedded software, test automation, and wireless hardware in real IoT projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and modify embedded applications for wireless and IoT devices.
• Write Python tools and scripts for automated testing and measurements.
• Set up, test, and experiment with wireless systems and IoT devices.
• Assist in developing hardware and software tools for device integration and debugging.

Required profile

• Studying electrical, computer, electronics, telecommunications or a related technical field.
• Interest in IoT, embedded systems, and wireless technologies.
• Basic programming experience in C and Python.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Required skills

• C programming
• Python scripting
• Basic knowledge of electronics and schematic/PCB design
• Understanding of RF and wireless communication fundamentals (optional SDR or GNU Radio experience)
