Area Sales Manager – Western Hungary

About the role

Portwest, a global leader in safety wear, workwear and PPE, is looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to cover Western Hungary. You will be responsible for expanding and nurturing relationships with distributors, resellers and agents, driving sales of our extensive product portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain quality business relationships with new and existing accounts.
• Conduct daily face‑to‑face sales meetings with distributors, resellers and agents.
• Identify high‑growth customers and develop road‑maps for their expansion.
• Spot new business opportunities and create sales planning schedules.
• Apply consultative selling techniques to match customer needs with Portwest solutions.
• Prepare clear written proposals and quotations for current and prospective customers.
• Present new Portwest products using samples during meetings.
• Follow up after meetings to close sales.
• Gather market intelligence and report on trade shows, seminars, exhibitions and industry journals.
• Promote distributor promotions to end users.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience selling PPE, workwear or safety wear.
• Experience selling on behalf of a manufacturer, distributor, reseller or agent.
• Background in related industries such as automotive, tools, chemicals or MRO.
• Strong drive to achieve sales growth through field sales.
• Valid clean driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the designated region.
• Right to live and work in Hungary.
