Design Center Manager

About the role

Kronospan, a worldwide manufacturer of wood-based panels and related products founded in 1897, has opened a new design center in Budapest and is looking for an experienced, ambitious and committed Design Center Manager. The role covers planning interior designs and furnishing layouts, advising customers, managing the workflow and leading the Budapest team.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and prepare interior designs and furnishing layouts
• Assist customers by appointment and on a walk-in basis, using suggestive selling techniques
• Communicate with other departments, external companies, partners and industry professionals about projects
• Improve sales skills and product knowledge to promote a professional brand image
• Manage specification management and coordinate with branch staff so that customer service runs smoothly from concept through to delivery
• Support other marketing activities and help organise events and promotions, including the Design Center grand opening
• Manage overall workflow organisation and planning, and lead and supervise staff at the Budapest Design Center

Required profile

• University or college degree, preferably in architecture or interior design
• 5-10 years of experience in a similar field; marketing experience is an advantage
• Fluent Hungarian and English; knowledge of another European language is an asset
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, professional attitude and ability to work independently under pressure
• Extensive travel during the training phase (3-4 months of product training in Szombathely / Mohács and other sites) is required before the center opens

• AutoCAD 3D, 3ds Max, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and V-Ray 3.6 for SketchUp
