Hardware Validation Engineer – Automotive

About the role

Johnson Electric Group is seeking a Hardware Validation Engineer to join its R&D team in Hatvan. The role focuses on testing and validating automotive electronic systems, from laboratory measurements to automated test rigs, collaborating with international development teams and external test labs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical testing of actuators and develop automated test programs.
• Validate PCBs for various automotive applications.
• Conduct EMC and ESD testing according to customer specifications.
• Analyze electronic data, troubleshoot faults on existing actuators, and compile test results.
• Document activities in line with quality processes and design PCBs using Altium.

Required profile

• University degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Ideally 3 years of relevant experience, but recent graduates are also encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency in C and C++ programming.
• Practical knowledge of measurement instruments such as oscilloscopes.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a team‑player attitude.
• Willingness to travel to test sites in Austria and Germany.
