MES Application Engineer – Manufacturing & Traceability

About the role

We are looking for an MES Application Engineer to join Bosch Digital in Budapest. You will support the implementation and operation of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and traceability solutions across Bosch plants, contributing to the Industry 4.0 transformation of our manufacturing sites.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and operate MES and traceability solutions in multiple Bosch factories.
• Install, configure, and maintain servers, databases and container‑based environments.
• Support and enhance modern infrastructure platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher and Elastic Stack.
• Design technical solutions that meet production traceability requirements.
• Collaborate with production and manufacturing teams to drive digitalisation initiatives.
• Develop and maintain automation and scripting solutions using PowerShell and Python.
• Provide technical support and training for users on Production IT and traceability topics.
• Participate in project coordination and end‑to‑end technical implementation.

Required profile

• Degree in IT, Software Engineering or a related technical field.
• Fluent English for daily collaboration in an international environment.
• Experience in Production IT or distributed systems (servers, databases).
• Hands‑on experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Customer‑oriented mindset with ownership.
