Payroll Specialist (maternity cover)

About the role

Bitrise is looking for a Payroll Specialist to cover a two‑year maternity leave. The role is remote‑first, allowing you to work from anywhere in Hungary while managing payroll for multiple European locations.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end payroll processing for Hungary and other EU countries, ensuring timely and accurate employee payments.
• Perform regular payroll reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in partnership with Finance and HR teams.
• Maintain employee data in the payroll system with a focus on accuracy, confidentiality and security.
• Provide payroll support and clear communication to employees regarding payments and related queries.
• Collaborate with external payroll and benefits providers to guarantee correct administration.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in HR/payroll administration.
• Strong knowledge of labour law and payroll regulations across multiple countries.
• Excellent relationship‑building and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Proactive problem‑solver with a commitment to process improvement.
