PCB Layout – Footprint Designer

About the role

Join Bosch's automotive electronics team in Budapest as a PCB Layout – Footprint Designer. You will create and maintain component footprints that are used worldwide in self‑driven car projects, collaborating with cross‑functional partners across Hungary and abroad.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement footprints for electrical and electromechanical CAD components (SMD, through‑hole).
• Maintain the PCB footprint library for printed circuit boards.
• Support layout‑related technology integration with Hungarian and international development partners.
• Collaborate with circuit design, mechanical design, technology development and manufacturing teams.

Required profile

• Degree in electrical engineering or mechatronics engineering.
• Experience in PCB layout and footprint design.
• Basic understanding of electronic and mechanical engineering concepts.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Analytical mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD tools such as OrCAD, Altium Designer, Eagle, AutoCAD.
• Programming knowledge (databases, web development, C++).
• Knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes and SMT technology.
