Power Electronics Hardware Engineer – eMobility

About the role

Join Bosch's eMobility team to develop cutting‑edge power electronics hardware for electric vehicles. You will work on low‑ and high‑voltage schematic modules and translate them into robust PCB designs that support the future of CO2‑free mobility.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement schematic modules for low and high voltage applications (gate drivers, power supplies, sensors, etc.) and create final PCB layouts.
• Analyse project‑specific hardware requirements and ensure they are met.
• Build test setups, verify circuit functionality and debug issues.
• Coordinate hardware design activities across internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project managers, suppliers and cross‑functional teams.
• Produce documentation in line with Bosch hardware development processes.

Required profile

• University degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable field.
• Strong interest in low‑ and high‑voltage schematic and layout design.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical content and project situations.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with eCAD tools such as Altium Designer, EAGLE, Zuken CR‑8000, PADS or Cadence Allegro.
• Hands‑on experience designing switch‑mode power supplies and gate‑driver circuits.
• Knowledge of creepage and clearance distances, LV/HV isolation, EMC rules and PCB layout guidelines (preferred).
• Experience in the automotive industry (preferred).
