Project Specialist – Prevention (Child Safeguarding)

About the role
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Specialist to lead prevention and child‑safeguarding activities within the ISF/BBA Plusz project on return, reintegration and prevention of human‑trafficking victims. Based in Budapest, the specialist will work under the Head of Office to ensure safe, age‑appropriate interventions for children and adolescents.
Key responsibilities
- Support planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring and reporting of project activities.
- Lead prevention initiatives targeting children and adolescents, including awareness‑raising and capacity‑building.
- Manage local coordination mechanisms and deliver stakeholder trainings.
- Oversee child‑safeguarding quality assurance for all activities involving minors.
- Provide technical guidance to IOM staff, consortium partners, vendors and external service providers.
Required profile
- Experience in prevention activities involving children and adolescents.
- Familiarity with child‑safeguarding standards and quality assurance processes.
- Ability to coordinate multi‑stakeholder projects and deliver trainings.
- Strong understanding of human‑trafficking prevention and reintegration contexts.
