Purchasing Quality Engineer - automotive area

About the role
As a Purchasing Quality Engineer you will support the automotive supply chain by ensuring that purchased components meet Bosch’s high quality and performance standards. You will work closely with purchasing project managers, suppliers and internal teams to drive continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with purchasing project management to identify, evaluate and select suppliers that meet quality and performance criteria.
- Act as a collaborative partner in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Preventive Quality Planning (PQP) initiatives.
- Own Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities for all purchased components, ensuring compliance and accurate documentation.
- Lead and implement comprehensive process releases at supplier facilities, track findings to closure and provide guidance for continuous improvement.
- Support customer audits and represent Bosch with professional documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments and plant locations to align quality objectives.
Required profile
- University degree in engineering.
- 3–5 years of experience in preventive quality assurance.
- Experience in plastic molding and automotive quality processes (e.g., Concession, PPAP).
- Process release experience at supplier sites.
- Fluent English (negotiation level); native Hungarian speaker preferred.
- Excellent technical insight, analytical thinking and highly structured working style.
- Strong assertiveness towards suppliers and project stakeholders.
- Communicative personality with strong problem‑solving skills.
- Willingness to travel regularly (1–2 trips/month) to supplier locations.
