Reliability Engineer for Mobility Electronics

About the role

As a Reliability Engineer in Bosch's Mobility Electronics division, you will ensure that electronic control units for braking, steering, radar, video, sensors and more meet the highest standards of durability and performance. You will work closely with product development and manufacturing teams to translate use‑case requirements into robust, reliable designs.

Key responsibilities

• Define product loads based on life‑cycle, use cases and customer specifications.
• Perform calculations, simulations and measurements to assess load effects on design elements.
• Review product designs and provide reliability‑based recommendations to improve robustness.
• Coordinate validation tests, including field‑load, aging and standard‑compliance testing.
• Lead physical failure analysis, root‑cause investigations and risk‑management activities.
• Prepare English reports and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• MSc or BSc in mechanical, vehicle, electrical engineering, physics, chemistry or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with a structured, precise working style.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; German is a plus.
• Ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
