RF Module Developer – Zone ECU (434 MHz)

About the role
As an RF Module Developer you will shape the next generation of automotive wireless access by designing and integrating 434 MHz UHF electronics for the Zone ECU. You will work in a cross‑functional team at Bosch, contributing to both the hardware architecture and the safety‑critical aspects of future vehicles.
Key responsibilities
- Design antennas and RF circuits based on customer requirements, simulations, lab tests and vehicle‑level results.
- Define hardware requirements for the RF module, including IC and antenna specifications.
- Select, test and qualify RF components (ICs, antennas, filters, matching networks) from primary and secondary suppliers.
- Perform RF verification measurements such as antenna matching and sensitivity.
- Investigate internal noise, propose design changes and verify their impact.
- Create integration guidelines for the Zone ECU and support vehicle‑level implementation.
- Collaborate with the layout team on PCB optimisation and conduct feasibility studies for new generations.
- Characterise RF parameters and keep up‑to‑date with relevant standards, protocols and regulations.
- Maintain RF lab equipment and support customer vehicle‑level tests, including sample preparation and on‑site execution.
- Participate in international project teams, liaising with software, system and production engineering groups.
Required profile
- Degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Radio‑Frequency Engineering or a comparable field.
- Proven experience in RF circuit and antenna development for automotive applications.
- Knowledge of printed RF‑circuit design and ECU manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with automotive standards such as EMC; awareness of ASPICE or ISO 26262 is a plus.
- Ability to work in an international, multidisciplinary environment.
