Safety Expert for ADAS products

About the role

We are looking for a Safety Expert to lead the functional safety development of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) at Bosch in Budapest. The role focuses on defining safety concepts, performing analyses, and ensuring compliance with ISO 26262 and ISO 21448 (SOTIF) standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define safety concepts for ADAS systems and components according to ISO 26262.
• Perform safety analyses, including FMEA, FMEDA and FTA.
• Create and maintain safety documentation and manage safety‑relevant OEM requests.
• Represent the safety concept to internal and external customers.
• Derive functional safety requirements for system, hardware and software teams.
• Manage the boundary between malfunctioning behavior (ISO 26262) and performance limitations of sensors/algorithms (SOTIF/ISO 21448).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• Expert‑level knowledge of ISO 26262 and strong familiarity with ISO 21448 (SOTIF).
• Proficiency with requirements‑management tools such as DOORS, Jama or Jira.
• Solid understanding of embedded hardware/software architectures, microcontrollers (e.g., Infineon Aurix) and in‑vehicle network protocols (CAN, CAN FD, Ethernet).
• Experience with quality methods like FMEA, FMEDA or FTA.
• Good English communication skills.
