Senior Data Engineer

About the role

Bosch’s Mobility Electronics division develops micro‑mechanical sensors used in automotive, consumer and aerospace applications. As a Senior Data Engineer you will support the development and production of these MEMS sensors by building data‑analytics and machine‑learning solutions that improve yield and engineering efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end solutions for data ingestion from manufacturing and development sources.
• Create and maintain the architecture of ETL pipelines for sensor data.
• Implement pipelines using Python, Databricks and PySpark.
• Technically lead a team of data engineers, mentor junior members and conduct code reviews.
• Promote clean‑code principles and agile ways of working.
• Advise management on data strategy and support decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline.
• More than 5 years of experience as a software developer or data engineer, preferably the latter.
• Senior‑level expertise in Python, Databricks and PySpark.
• Solid knowledge of Hadoop and cloud technologies, especially Microsoft Azure.
