Senior Fullstack Developer - Scam Prevention

About the role

Join Wise's Scam Prevention team to protect customers from financial crime. You will enhance the fraud detection engine by building and refining critical controls, working primarily on backend systems with occasional frontend tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services for scam detection and prevention.
• Contribute to the React‑based frontend for monitoring and managing fraud controls.
• Own end‑to‑end projects, from design through deployment, ensuring high reliability and scalability.
• Collaborate with product, data science, and investigations teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Required profile

• 6+ years of professional experience with Java and the Spring framework.
• Proven ability to design and operate CI/CD pipelines and distributed, concurrent systems.
• Strong product mindset with data‑driven decision making.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
