Senior Software Engineer - Web Platform

About the role

PTC is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its globally distributed Agile development team and contribute to the evolution of its enterprise-scale web application platform, Codebeamer, an Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) platform. You will design, develop and maintain scalable software, take part in architectural discussions, mentor peers and influence engineering best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain high-quality software in an Agile environment (Scrum/Kanban)
• Own complex features from design to deployment, build new functionality and fix defects
• Build reusable, maintainable and scalable code
• Collaborate with Product Owners, QA, support teams, UX designers and other developers
• Take part in technical design and architecture discussions, conduct code reviews and support CI/CD and automated testing
• Troubleshoot complex issues, demonstrate finished features to stakeholders and customers, and contribute to technical documentation
• Mentor junior engineers

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Enterprise-grade web application experience
• Understanding of design principles, OOP and common design patterns
• Relational databases and SQL experience
• Git, CI/CD familiarity, Agile teamwork, strong analytical and communication skills

Required skills

• Java SE, Spring Framework (Spring MVC, Spring Boot preferred)
• JavaScript, TypeScript and Angular (modern versions preferred)
• Preferred: NgRx or Redux-style state management, RESTful APIs, OAuth 2.0/OpenID Connect, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), performance optimization, mentoring experience
