Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

Cambridge Mobile Telematics (CMT) is the world’s largest telematics service provider, dedicated to making roads and drivers safer through AI‑driven data fusion. As a Site Reliability Engineer you will join a collaborative team that ensures the reliability, scalability, and security of the production infrastructure supporting millions of IoT devices. This role is based in Budapest and works closely with security, development, and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve SRE‑related requests and incidents, participating in on‑call rotation as a Level 1 responder.
• Monitor production systems using Datadog, PagerDuty, and CloudWatch Logs, identifying opportunities for scalability and efficiency improvements.
• Maintain and update production infrastructure, including AMI refreshes and regular security patching.
• Execute scheduled production changes such as service updates and create/update runbooks for repetitive tasks.
• Collaborate with the Security Operations team to meet compliance requirements, including endpoint security deployment.
• Assist SRE teammates on planned project work and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with 2+ years in software engineering, SRE, or IT systems administration.
• Entry‑to‑mid‑level programming ability, preferably in Python.
• Experience working with AWS services and infrastructure‑as‑code tools, preferably Terraform.
