Software Architect – Transmission Control

About the role

As a Software Architect in the Transmission Control (TC) department of Bosch Powertrain Solutions, you will lead the design of advanced software architectures for transmission and suspension control units. You will work in a global, cross‑functional team that delivers end‑to‑end hardware, software, and mechanical solutions for automotive customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop sophisticated system architectures for transmission and suspension control units.
• Define and maintain software architecture in line with AUTOSAR, ASPICE, and functional safety standards.
• Create customer‑specific software solutions for automotive applications.
• Derive software requirements, drivers, and quality goals from system‑level concepts.
• Identify technical constraints and support project feasibility decisions.
• Make architectural decisions and ensure proper documentation and communication.
• Collaborate with international and cross‑functional development teams.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or a related field.
• Strong experience in software architecture design.
• Solid programming skills in C/C++ and experience with MATLAB/Simulink.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and quality assurance.
• Analytical mindset with a structured, independent working style.
• Ability to work effectively in an international environment.
• Proficiency in English.
