Software Engineer in Test (Python)

About the role

Silicon Labs is seeking a Software Engineer in Test to develop, debug and automate test scripts for its SiSDK and firmware products. You will work within the Budapest QA team to ensure comprehensive test coverage for Bluetooth Low Energy radio protocol features.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement pytest‑based automated tests for embedded wireless solutions.
• Automate test execution and monitor results as part of continuous integration pipelines.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers and application engineers to communicate test results, progress and defects.
• Identify, report and investigate defects discovered during testing.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Software Developer in Test or QA Engineer.
• Strong Python programming skills and hands‑on automation experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and ability to work in cross‑functional teams.
