Statutory Accounting and Controlling Manager

About the role

The Statutory Accounting & Controlling Manager will lead a team responsible for statutory and compliance accounting across multiple legal entities, ensuring accurate monthly and annual reporting under US GAAP and local GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Lead assistant managers in statutory accounting and controlling activities, overseeing month‑end closes and ensuring timely reporting.
• Prepare, review and approve balance‑sheet reconciliations, journal entries, tax accruals and statutory accounts.
• Manage interim and year‑end statutory audits, acting as primary contact for external auditors.
• Coordinate tax filings, tax audits and quarterly tax packages.
• Support internal audits, SOX compliance and corporate governance requirements.

Required profile

• Degree level education with a professional accountancy qualification.
• 8‑10 years post‑qualification experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Experience as an auditor or in full‑scope accounting, with strong knowledge of US GAAP and local GAAP.
• Proven ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities and drive process efficiencies.
