Subproject Leader Mechanical Design

About the role

We are looking for a Subproject Leader to coordinate mechanical development of control units for our international projects in Budapest. You will lead a multidisciplinary team and ensure delivery of die‑cast, sheet‑metal, plastic and PCB components up to SOP.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical development for control units (PS‑SC, PS‑TC, XC‑CE) covering die‑cast, sheet‑metal, plastic (including connectors) and PCB parts.
• Lead an international project team comprising design, reliability, simulation, hardware, purchasing, customer, production technology, layout, sample shop and series preparation.
• Plan and track timelines, budgets and resources, guaranteeing quality, cost and timing targets.
• Manage project risks, changes and report status regularly to management and internal customers.
• Organise technical reviews and collaborate with domain experts, customers, Bosch departments and production sites.
• Support root‑cause analysis, risk estimation and implementation of corrective actions.
• Negotiate technical topics with customers and represent project‑related technical aspects.
• Coordinate supplier‑related technical discussions and ensure proper documentation according to Bosch quality directives.

Required profile

• University or technical college degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in project management within mechanical development.
• Familiarity with aluminium die‑cast, plastics, sheet‑metal and PCB technologies.
• Strong analytical mindset, structured and precise working style.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English.
