About the role
As a Technical Writer you will create and optimise operating instructions for power, measuring and garden tools that are used worldwide. You will work in a global environment, collaborating closely with engineering and documentation teams based in Germany.
Key responsibilities
- Create and optimise operating instructions ensuring compliance with global standards and local regulations.
- Collaborate with engineering and segment teams to validate technical content.
- Brief and manage external agencies, tracking quality and timelines across up to 80 parallel projects.
- Drive paperless documentation initiatives in line with EU Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230.
- Design and maintain user documentation layouts in PDF and HTML formats.
- Own and operate the Schema ST4 CMS, managing system data, metadata, taxonomy and templates.
- Create and maintain PLD and OMD layouts and act as product owner for terminology management and Docupedia (REPTIL).
- Work within a global setup, coordinating closely with the Germany‑based documentation team.
Required profile
- Degree in Technical Writing, Engineering or a related field.
- Fluent German and English (C1 level).
- Strong technical mindset with at least 4 years of experience in technical documentation.
- Solid experience with Schema ST4 and basic knowledge of XML, HTML and CSS.
- Experience with SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Author and Adobe tools (Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat).
- Ability to produce structured, compliant and user‑focused content.
