Training & Product Coaching Manager – Vision Care (Hungary & Romania)

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Training & Product Coaching Manager to lead vision‑care training and product coaching across Hungary and Romania. Based in Budapest, you will work closely with commercial teams and healthcare professionals to drive clinical and commercial performance of the Vision Care portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the clinical and commercial performance of the Vision Care portfolio across Hungary, Romania and provide extended support to selected Central and South‑Eastern European markets.
• Design, adapt and deliver science‑based training programmes for internal teams, partner commercial teams and eye‑care professionals, enhancing product knowledge and sales effectiveness.
• Provide hands‑on in‑market support and field coaching through joint visits with business development and line managers, addressing clinical product barriers.
• Build and activate strong networks of healthcare and eye‑care professional advocates and key influencers to enable evidence‑based education and peer‑to‑peer learning.
• Lead education strategy and execution for new product launches, covering pre‑launch preparation, professional education, clinical communication and post‑launch support.
• Identify training needs, analyse skill gaps, evaluate learning effectiveness and optimise content and delivery methods.
• Ensure operational excellence, governance and compliance, manage training budgets and collaborate with sales, marketing, regulatory and legal teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Vision Care or ophthalmology, preferably with an optometry or pharmaceutical background.
• Minimum five years in a regional or managerial role within sales, marketing, professional education or professional affairs.
• Strong understanding of clinical eye products, anatomy of the eye and related disease states.
• Experience delivering training programmes and providing field coaching in a commercial environment.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally, manage budgets and ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.
