Vehicle Test Engineer

About the role

The Vehicle Test Engineer will join Bosch’s Engineering Centre in Budapest, contributing to the development and validation of advanced driver assistance and automated driving systems. You will work on real‑vehicle testing, ensuring that hardware and software components meet safety and performance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and document system test and validation activities on real vehicles.
• Analyse vehicle and system requirements to derive comprehensive test cases.
• Identify, reproduce and report defects with clear technical evidence.
• Support root‑cause analysis together with system, hardware and software development partners.
• Maintain project documentation in accordance with Bosch quality standards.
• Collaborate with international development, testing and customer teams.
• Participate in test drives, proving‑ground activities and customer validation events.

Required profile

• Technical degree in automotive engineering, mechatronics, computer science or a comparable field.
• Valid B‑category driving licence with driving experience.
• Analytical and creative thinking with a structured working style.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
• Willingness to travel for business purposes.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) functions.
