Data Engineer – Big Data & ETL

About the role

As a Data Engineer at Bosch Group, you will contribute to the development of high‑performance data solutions for automotive sensor systems and automated‑driving technologies. You will work in an international team, applying Bosch’s engineering standards to deliver reliable, scalable data pipelines and user‑friendly analytics tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop databases for airbag, ESP and automated‑driving sensor modules (MEMS).
• Build and maintain ETL and analysis pipelines for large‑scale sensor data.
• Implement big‑data tools, covering both back‑end and front‑end development, to support manufacturing and R&D processes.
• Create and optimise the UI/UX of web applications that visualise big‑data insights.
• Collaborate with designers, back‑end developers and cross‑functional teams across borders.
• Apply Bosch development methods in line with international standards and customer requirements.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (BSc/MSc) in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on data‑engineering experience, including ETL, data pipelines and big‑data technologies.
• Self‑initiative, strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work effectively in a multinational team.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); German is a plus.
• Experience with software testing, clean‑code practices and version control (Git).
