Design FMEA Moderator – Product Risk Analysis (2-year maternity cover)

About the role

The Design FMEA Moderator will support product development projects by leading and coordinating FMEA activities, ensuring alignment across interdisciplinary teams and external OEMs. This is a two‑year maternity cover position based in Budapest.

Key responsibilities

• Create and adapt the standard FMEA for platform and customer projects.
• Coordinate and lead interdisciplinary teams (testing, design, quality, manufacturing, etc.).
• Update FMEA together with the project team.
• Support design/FMEA team in aligning FMEA interfaces toward system and process FMEAs.
• Coach the FMEA team on method usage, tools, evaluation, reporting, and presentation of results.
• Act as owner of the FMEA product group, informing and coaching project managers.
• Assist internal customers and the Project Manager in preparing external OEM FMEA presentations.
• Participate in strategic FMEA pool tasks, continuous improvement, work‑instruction maintenance, and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, quality management or related field.
• Structured way of working and thinking.
• Willingness to learn and apply automotive FMEA and quality tools.
• Strong moderation and facilitation skills.
• Excellent presentation and communication abilities.
• Experience with FMEAs is a benefit; product development experience is an advantage.
• Negotiation‑level English; German knowledge is an advantage.
