Trade Show Specialist (B2B)

About the role

Formlabs, a maker of 3D printing technology used by companies such as Apple, Google, Tesla, New Balance and NASA, is hiring a Trade Show Specialist in its largest European office in Budapest. The role works closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, Design and Leadership to own the strategy, planning, execution and performance of a portfolio of events, with a strong focus on key trade shows and Formlabs-owned events. It involves about 20 trade shows per year, from small 12sqm booths to large exhibits over 200sqm.

Key responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of trade shows and develop and execute plans to meet event objectives and milestones
• Lead end-to-end event planning and execution, including pre/post-event campaigns, staffing, booth management and internal enablement for demos and presentations
• Work with design and marketing teams so the brand presence reflects the brand and showcases the product portfolio
• Manage budgets, contracts, vendors and logistics, and order and track event inventory such as collateral and giveaways
• Serve as a visible brand ambassador, building relationships with customers, partners and prospects onsite
• Analyse event performance data to improve formats, messaging and attendee experience
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Design and Marketing to influence decisions and maximise event impact
• Travel about 25% of the time, mostly within Europe, to attend events and support onsite teams

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or a related discipline
• 5+ years of experience in event marketing, owning and executing complex B2B trade show programs
• Proven experience managing multi-event portfolios, from small to large-format booths, including planning, execution and reporting
• Experience supporting product launches and evolving product portfolios through events
• Comfortable travelling about 25% of the time

• Data-driven approach, drawing insights from event and marketing data
• Creative, proactive and confident, able to act as a brand ambassador
