Application Software Developer for Automotive ECU Systems

About the role

Join Bosch's PS‑TC development team in Budapest as an Application Software Developer focused on advanced automotive ECU systems. You will create model‑based application software that links customer functions, system requirements, sensors, actuators and diagnostics into reliable ECU solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop model‑based application software for automotive ECU functions.
• Translate system requirements into robust software designs and implementations.
• Handle ECU‑level topics such as signal flows, diagnostics, communication interfaces, configuration data and integration with sensors/actuators.
• Analyze software and system behavior, support debugging, integration, verification and issue resolution.
• Collaborate closely with system engineers, software architects, platform developers, testers and international development partners.
• Contribute to the growth of the team towards system‑level expertise.

Required profile

• University degree in electrical engineering, computer science, mechatronics, informatics or a comparable field.
• Experience in model‑based software development, preferably in an automotive environment.
• Good understanding of ECU software architecture, embedded systems, interfaces, diagnostics and communication.
• Structured, analytical and quality‑oriented working style with the ability to work independently.
• Strong English language skills and ability to work in international, cross‑functional teams.
