I/O Software Developer Trainee – Transmission Control

About the role

Join Bosch's Engineering Centre in Budapest as an Input/Output Software Developer trainee, working on transmission and suspension control units for the automotive industry. You will contribute to cutting‑edge software solutions while gaining hands‑on experience in a multinational R&D environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop software for transmission and suspension control units following the latest industry standards.
• Design software architecture using UML and implement code in ANSI‑C.
• Collaborate with hardware, mechanics and international teams to integrate software components.
• Participate in unit testing and verification of embedded software.

Required profile

• Ongoing university studies in electrical engineering, computer science, informatics or a related field (student status until 2028).
• Strong analytical thinking and systematic work approach.
• Proficiency in English.
• Availability of 20 hours per week.

Required skills

• MATLAB and Simulink.
• C / C++ programming, ANSI‑C.
• UML software design.
• Fundamentals of control theory and control engineering.
• Experience with microcontroller peripherals such as ADC, PWM, GPIO.
• Knowledge of software test methodologies.
