Sales Engineer – Automation (Energy Industries)

About the role

As a Sales Engineer you will deliver ABB's automation solutions to customers in the energy and industrial sectors, combining technical expertise with consultative selling.

Key responsibilities

• Sell ABB automation products, systems, project and service solutions to existing and new customers.
• Develop and drive product and project sales opportunities, including PLC, DCS, digital, cybersecurity and energy management software.
• Understand customer technical requirements and recommend suitable ABB solutions.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, system integrators, OEMs and channel partners.
• Plan and conduct regular customer meetings, both on‑site and online.
• Keep Salesforce up to date with pipeline, forecasts and visit reports.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering or related field.
• Professional experience in industrial automation.
• Fluent in Hungarian and confident English communication.
• Valid Category B driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across Hungary.
• EU national or holder of Hungarian work visa.

Required skills

• Knowledge of PLC and DCS systems.
• Experience with industrial control systems and automation solutions.
• Familiarity with digital, cybersecurity and energy management software.
• Proficiency in Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
