Senior Software Developer in Computer-Aided Design

About the role

Join Bosch's Mobility Electronics division to develop a cutting‑edge Computer‑Aided Design (CAD) tool that supports the creation of MEMS sensor micro‑structures. You will work in an international, highly dynamic environment, collaborating closely with in‑house R&D and world‑renowned automotive and consumer customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a CAD tool with a Java kernel and MATLAB interface based on engineering requirements.
• Develop and optimise algorithms for geometric operations and numerical simulations.
• Architect the tool for flexibility, maintainability and high performance.
• Incorporate user‑experience improvements and rigorous testing to ensure reliability.
• Automate design workflows to accelerate sensor development.
• Provide technical support and training to end users.
• Apply state‑of‑the‑art AI techniques to enhance design processes.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• Degree in software engineering, computer science, electrical/mechanical engineering, mathematics, physics or a related field.
• Minimum three years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java (desktop applications).
• Interest and experience with modern AI capabilities.
• Experience with CAD or numerical algorithms is a strong plus.
