Software Developer – Driver Assistance & Automated Driving

About the role

Join Bosch’s Budapest development centre as a Software Developer working on driver assistance and automated driving systems that are deployed worldwide. You will turn advanced perception algorithms into production‑ready C++ code that runs in real vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Develop state‑of‑the‑art perception and driver‑assistance functionalities.
• Prototype algorithms in Python or MATLAB and implement them as embedded, real‑time C++ software.
• Design object‑oriented, embedded solutions and create automated tests using Google Test and Python testing frameworks.
• Validate software in SIL, HIL and on‑road test vehicles, and debug complex C++ code and system behaviour.
• Contribute to sensor‑fusion, environmental modelling and tracking algorithms.
• Analyse field‑test results, performance metrics and support customers and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate daily with international teams and participate in technical alignments.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Machine Learning or a related field.
• Strong mathematical foundations (linear algebra, trigonometry, discrete mathematics).
• Hands‑on experience with C/C++, Python and/or MATLAB.
• Experience with software testing and scripting.
• Analytical mindset, structured way of working and fluent English.
• Strong interest in automated driving technologies and willingness to travel occasionally.
