Accounting Expert (IC & FA)

About the role

HARMAN is hiring an Accounting Expert (IC & FA) for its Shared Services Center in Szekesfehervar, Hungary, supporting Intercompany and Fixed Asset transaction processing for Harman at Global Shared Service Lifestyle. The position is fixed-term, ending on 31 December 2027, and is hybrid, with most office-based roles onsite three days a week.

Key responsibilities

• Intercompany: oversee and guide the monthly IC charge process, the monthly ICR process and the reporting of month-end balances into BPC, and keep close contact with IC partners
• Intercompany: keep closing deadlines, provide regular IC KPIs and metrics, respond to audit requests on time, and resolve ad hoc issues
• Intercompany: monitor subordinate staff, set targets, give feedback, train direct reports, act as an expert in projects and process developments, and collaborate with GL, AP, AR, Treasury, FA and T&E
• Fixed Assets: lead Fixed Asset accounting and closing activities for companies in scope, enforce compliance with Harman policy and audit standards, and support audit requests
• Fixed Assets: help form global standards, support new projects and process improvements, identify improvement opportunities, and provide regular FA KPIs and metrics

Required profile

• At least 4 years of accounting experience in a mix of core accounting and shared services
• Degree in financial accounting, commerce or economics
• English and Hungarian language proficiency
• Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, multi-tasking and problem-solving abilities
• Bonus points: SAP journal entry, intercompany accounting, shared services / BPO experience, MS Office expertise, deep knowledge of AP, AR, bank and general accounting, and people management experience
