Accounts Payable Analyst - Slovenian Market

About the role

IFF, a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients and health & biosciences, is hiring an Accounts Payable Analyst for its Slovenian market. The role is based in Budapest, Hungary, in a hybrid setting, within Global Business Services which delivers streamlined, scalable support across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Process, validate, approve and post purchase order and non-purchase order invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Calculate and apply VAT, withholding tax and other applicable taxes according to local regulations.
• Review supplier documentation for compliance with country-specific legal and tax requirements.
• Execute vendor payments through scheduled payment runs while keeping them accurate and timely.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve invoice, payment and account issues.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve exceptions, escalating complex issues when needed.
• Support Procure-to-Pay (P2P) objectives and process optimization, and comply with company policies and internal controls.

Required profile

• Diploma, Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, or an equivalent accounting qualification.
• Good understanding of accounts payable and general accounting processes.
• Fluent written and spoken Slovenian, Bosnian, Serbian or Montenegrin and English.
• Experience in a shared services or multinational environment is a plus; Lean Six Sigma certification or process improvement experience is also a plus.

Required skills

• Experience with enterprise resource planning systems; SAP experience preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail, customer service and stakeholder management skills.
