Accounts Payable Specialist

About the role

Greif, a global leader in performance packaging active in 40 countries, is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist in Budapest. The role covers bookkeeping, accounting, production control and clerical tasks, such as posting journal or voucher entries and reconciling accounts, and may also include work in AR, AP, cash application, billing and collections.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the end-to-end AP process, including invoice processing, issue resolution and supplier queries
• Act as first point of contact and support during escalations
• Manage the AP bridgehead function with the company, liaising with internal staff and external supplier personnel
• Support month-end and year-end closing with AP activities on time
• Deliver ad hoc reporting and prepare AP reports based on AP processes
• Investigate, propose and implement further AP process improvements
• Provide the information external suppliers need to carry out their part of the process

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree required
• 1-2 years of experience in Accounts Payable is an advantage
• Fluent English
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to deal with people at all levels
• Pragmatic, logical thinker with attention to detail and an analytical mind

What we offer

• Pay range of HUF 6,562,100 to HUF 9,843,200 per year; typical starting pay for new hires is HUF 7,800,000 to HUF 8,400,000, with possible short-term incentives
