AI Motion Designer & Creative Technologist

About the role

DEPT, a growth-invention agency combining technology and marketing, is looking for an AI Motion Designer & Creative Technologist to join its creative team in Budapest. The role has two parts: delivering AI-led creative work on live client projects and building the tools and workflows that make the wider agency faster. You will work day to day with creative directors, account teams and clients in the UK, mostly remotely, and contribute to creative sprints and workshops in person where possible.

Key responsibilities

• Turn creative briefs into AI-generated and AI-enhanced imagery, video and motion for social, paid, digital and campaign work
• Build and refine prompts and workflows across image and video generation tools, keeping a library of what works per client
• Finish AI output in Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere Pro so it fits with photography, design and live action
• Keep brand and character consistency across generated assets using references, style guides and custom models
• Produce rapid concepts, styleframes and visual explorations to help teams pitch and iterate faster
• Build repeatable AI workflows, prompt frameworks and best-practice documentation for the team
• Build tools that remove repetitive manual steps: Adobe and Figma scripts and plugins, node-based pipelines, small browser utilities
• Act as a knowledge point on AI for creative directors and account teams, and own responsible use of AI including data handling, IP, likeness and disclosure labelling
• Share what you build and learn through show-and-tells and training sessions, and present work to an excellent standard

Required profile

• A portfolio of AI-generated or AI-enhanced work finished to a professional standard
• Solid design fundamentals: composition, typography, colour and an eye for what looks right on screen
• Ability to script or automate (e.g. Python, JavaScript, ExtendScript, Figma plugins, ComfyUI) to speed up creative work
• Understanding of how social, paid and digital assets are spec'd and delivered, and awareness of the ethical, legal and brand-safety considerations of generative AI
• Fluent English, with confidence explaining your process and presenting to clients
• Nice to have: motion, 3D or VFX background, custom model training, LLM APIs and agentic tooling, content provenance standards

Required skills

• Node-based AI workflows (e.g. Figma Weave, ComfyUI, Flora) chaining models such as Flux, Veo, Kling and Sora
• Photoshop, with working After Effects and/or Premiere Pro
• Adobe and Figma scripts and plugins
