Creative Director – Build and Lead Hungarian Creative Team

About the role

DEPT® is looking for a Creative Director to build and lead its Hungarian creative department. The role will define the creative vision for the EMEA market and establish a high‑performing team that delivers innovative, brand‑aligned work. You will shape culture, processes and talent to support the company’s growth ambitions.

Key responsibilities

• Build the Hungarian creative department from the ground up, defining structure, roles and ways of working.
• Recruit, lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing creative team.
• Establish a strong creative culture that encourages innovation, collaboration and excellence.
• Define and drive the creative vision and overall direction for the EMEA market.
• Develop creative strategies aligned with brand objectives and business goals.
• Lead and oversee creative concepts, campaigns and key projects, ensuring high‑quality output.
• Set creative standards and ensure quality across all deliverables.
• Partner with marketing, brand, product and business teams to deliver impactful solutions.
• Improve and optimise creative processes for efficiency.
• Represent the Hungarian creative team in regional and global collaborations.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in a Creative Director, Associate Creative Director or similar senior creative leadership role.
• Proven experience building and scaling creative teams.
• Strong strategic thinking combined with outstanding creative judgment.
• Ability to define creative vision, operating models and team structures from the ground up.
• Strong understanding of brand building, campaigns and creative strategy.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to inspire, attract and develop creative talent.
• Experience working in fast‑paced, collaborative, cross‑functional environments.
