EHS Specialist

About the role

HARMAN Automotive is looking for an EHS Specialist in Székesfehérvár, Hungary. The role covers workplace health and safety, environmental management and coordination with authorities and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce compliance with health and safety requirements at work
• Maintain and develop the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001:2015)
• Support and operate the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (ISO 45001:2018)
• Liaise with authorities and partners on EHS matters
• Inspect the commissioning of new equipment and machinery
• Develop EHS training materials and run training sessions
• Represent EHS topics in internal and external audits
• Monitor EHS legislation and ensure compliance across departments
• Investigate workplace accidents and manage corrective and preventive actions
• Develop EHS procedures and work instructions, monitor KPIs and collect data
• Oversee waste management and update the chemical substance database
• Take part in factory access control and radiation protection (X-ray equipment) activities

Required profile

• University degree in environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, occupational safety engineering or an equivalent field
• Intermediate-level occupational safety qualification
• At least 1-3 years of experience in a similar field
• Communicative English

• Intermediate or higher environmental protection qualification
• Advanced occupational safety qualification
• Fire safety instructor or senior instructor certification
• Internal auditor certification for ISO 14001:2015 / ISO 45001:2018
