About the role
HARMAN Automotive is looking for a Process (Maintenance) Engineer in Szekesfehervar to maintain, troubleshoot and optimise automated production systems. The role focuses on Beckhoff PLCs and KUKA robots, covering programming, diagnostics and code changes, and supports system upgrades, preventive maintenance and continuous improvement. It reports to the Controlling team group leader and is an on-site position.
Key responsibilities
- Develop maintenance strategies and automation improvements for PLC-controlled systems and KUKA robotic cells
- Act as the main contact for troubleshooting, fault diagnostics, code modifications and keeping equipment up and running safely
- Work with engineering, production and operations teams to meet reliability, performance and production targets
- Help create standardised maintenance procedures, robot programs and PLC logic updates
- Support preventive maintenance programmes, automation best practices and continuous improvement to reduce downtime
Required profile
- 3+ years of experience with PLC-based control systems, automated production equipment and industrial robotics (preferably KUKA)
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field (bonus)
- Intermediate English for technical documentation and occasional travel for training or support
- Eligible to work locally without sponsorship, with a valid driver's licence and flexible hours including on-call or weekend coverage
Required skills
- PLC programming (C#, Structured Text or OOP), robot programming and system diagnostics
- Troubleshooting and maintenance of PLCs, robotic cells, HMIs and automation hardware and software
- Preventive and corrective maintenance, continuous improvement and CMMS experience (bonus)
