Freelance ISCC Lead Auditor (Hungary)

About the role

Bureau Veritas is seeking an experienced Freelance ISCC Lead Auditor to join its on‑call audit team in Hungary. The contractor will perform ISCC audits for a variety of clients, ensuring compliance with sustainability and traceability standards while delivering professional audit reports.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct initial, surveillance and recertification ISCC audits in line with Bureau Veritas procedures.
• Review client documentation, policies and records to assess compliance with ISCC requirements.
• Perform on‑site assessments, interview personnel and observe operational processes.
• Identify and document non‑conformities, provide recommendations and request corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed audit reports and communicate findings to clients.
• Maintain accurate audit documentation and evidence files.
• Stay updated on ISCC standard changes and relevant regulations.
• Coordinate audit scheduling with project management and clients, offering flexible on‑call availability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Agriculture or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Valid ISCC Lead Auditor certification.
• 5–7 years of experience in ISCC auditing, sustainability compliance or related certification work.
• Proven ability to conduct independent audits across multiple sectors.
• Fluent Hungarian (mother tongue) and fluent English.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of ISCC standards and audit methodologies.
• Proficiency in audit documentation and report writing.
• Strong understanding of sustainability, traceability and risk assessment principles.
• Familiarity with audit management software and documentation platforms.
