About the role
We are looking for a Microsoft Server Engineer to design, implement, and maintain Windows Server environments for a NATO‑Secret cleared project in Hungary. The role involves managing servers, storage, networking, and related services while ensuring high availability, security, and compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and troubleshoot servers, workstations, printers, switches, routers, and backup systems for errors.
- Apply Microsoft, Cisco, Micro Focus, and antimalware patches to all relevant hardware and software.
- Plan, test, and implement configuration changes based on NAM CISOO requests.
- Maintain up‑to‑date documentation, system diagrams, and maintenance reports.
- Provide recommendations for technology upgrades, system optimisation, and new solutions.
- Recover systems from backup and verify restoration procedures.
Required profile
- Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification or equivalent hands‑on experience.
- Proven experience planning and executing server upgrades or migrations.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise storage solutions and their selection.
- Experience with Windows Server 2019/2022, Exchange Server, Hyper‑V, and failover clustering.
- Deep understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, security groups, and network hardening.
- Familiarity with SCCM, Windows patch management, and server monitoring tools.
- Ability to implement disaster‑recovery and high‑availability strategies.
- Security clearance at NATO Secret level.
