SAP IBP Center of Competence Manager

About the role

HARMAN's SCM Excellence SAP IBP Center of Competence Manager enables Supply and Demand Planning teams to fully leverage SAP IBP across end-to-end planning processes. The role acts as the central interface between business and digital teams, ensuring that SAP IBP configurations, data models and reporting support integrated demand and supply planning. It reports to the Director, Supply Chain Excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and continuously improve integrated business planning processes across demand, supply and material planning, and coordinate the development of SAP IBP functionalities with a cross-functional team.
• Test and validate technical solutions provided by digital teams or external partners, and optimize data structures, configurations and end-to-end process alignment.
• Drive automation of manual planning, reporting and analysis activities and improve data quality and decision speed.
• Build and foster a cross-organizational SAP IBP community, roll out new processes and solutions, and act as a subject matter expert spreading knowledge across the organization.
• Act as a hands-on problem solver during disruptions (e.g. S/4HANA transition, planning instability, data issues), stabilizing processes and replacing manual workarounds with automation.
• Analyze SAP and IBP data and configurations to find root causes, and deliver clear, fact-based reporting to management.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Informatics/Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Operations, with proven supply chain management experience, preferably in automotive or electronics manufacturing.
• Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement background, and experience collaborating across IT, production planning, procurement, demand planning and finance.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally, and to work in a HARMAN office.

Required skills

• Hands-on SAP user experience in MM, PP and DP modules; SAP customizing in MM, PP and DP is an advantage, as is WM and SAP S/4HANA.
• Demonstrated SAP IBP time-series implementation experience; OBP exposure is an advantage.
• Expert use of SAP IBP time-series planning (SIOE, SIOP) with Excel and WebUI, and master data management.
• Advanced Excel, including lookups, statistical formulas and macros.
• Fluent English and strong analytical and communication skills.
